About

Established in 1914, The Biltmore has a rich history as a Newton favorite. It began by serving up breakfast and brew to local overnight factory crews, and its four-lane bowling alley was the go-to hangout for decades. During the prohibition era, the Biltmore was a secret speakeasy for the elite, often hosting private events for dignitaries, politicians, and celebrities.

The Biltmore recently went through a beautiful renovation which brought back the charm of the old building with a more updated but comfortable vibe. Today, we keep the character of the Biltmore alive with American cuisine and an ever-changing list of local beers and hand-crafted cocktails.

At the Biltmore, something fun is always brewing. Our events add a unique twist to a classic restaurant experience. Stop by and enjoy Trivia Tuesdays, Karaoke Fridays and much more. We also offer a private dining room which is the perfect space for any special gathering.

We look forward to sharing our history with you. Stop by at 1205 Chestnut Street, Newton, MA 02464 or reach us at 617- 527- 2550.
